High-schools in and close to Bergen will be invited during the fall semester, and are also welcome to get in touch to reserve a spot.

UniStem Day is the largest European event for dissemination and outreach of stem cell science and regenerative medicine towards high-school students. The event, coordinated by the UniStem Centre at the University of Milan, involves the collaboration of Universities and Research Centers all over Europe. 

Program and information about UniStem Day 2025 will come, and you can contact us at MRCRM@helse-bergen.no if your school wants to join us at Haukeland on March 14, 2025.

Tentative program 

Part 1: 09.00 -12.00

  • Video call with schools in Europe
  • Lectures on gene editing, regenerative medicine, stem cells
  • Hear from a patient 
  • Panel debate with PhD and Master students
  • Lunch

Part 2: 12.00 - 14.00

  • Lab visits for a smaller number of students (students are selected based on their submitted Motivational letters (max. 250 words)).
